Almost burnt down my house
Used for my laptop. Plugged it to the wall and after like 3 weeks of using it. Later that day, I started getting a weird smell downstairs, went upstairs and there was smoke in the room and hallway. The charger had melted. I’m glad we were home because it could have started a fire. We quickly unplugged the charger but the house still smells of burnt electrical wire.

Would not charge my XPS the same as my Dell charger
When I first got this, it appeared to work perfectly! I was very pleased with it. The photographs attached are from this time. It charged my Dell XPS to 100% and I began using it as my work charger, keeping my original Dell charger for travel as I wanted to ensure I had a reliable charger when on the road.But before reviewing it here, I used it for a month and at different times my laptop would drain and even though I had the charger plugged in. I assume that the laptop ran on the charger and not the battery when plugged up and charged in the background…BUT…somehow, the laptop would run out of power and shut off. I would let it charge for a while and would continue using it. I really thought it was the laptop.So next time I saw this, I watched, and the battery charge went from 18%, to 17%, to 16%vover time. I quickly switched out this charger with my dell charger. Bam…the battery started going up from 16% to 100% in pretty quick time. I still used this charger though and repeated this same story two more times.I run my laptop on high performance and believe that it is using slightly more power than this charger can deliver and slowly over time it runs out. I did not notice it so much as at night, the laptop would sleep and in the morning it would be at 100%. So it took a while to see the issue.I am giving it two stars as it is a quality charger…just does not deliver enough power, although the labels say it has the same specs as my Dell charger (See photo). I will use it as a backup charger and it will work for such if used correctly. For other laptops that do not have the hefty power requirements of my Dell, it should be fine.

Cord separated almost immediately
This charger works great for USB-C charged devices, I have an older chrome book that’s been put through the ringer and is extremely particular about the cords it will accept power from, so even though these chargers are meant to be used in either orientation, this prissy laptop demands a specific set up. Not an issue, it still works. However, the section where the cord casing meets the actual plug on the device side started to separate almost immediately. This laptop is pretty much only used for streaming now so it doesn’t get moved around much, I don’t unplug it super often, so I really don’t see how it managed to do this so quickly, I wrapped it with some electrical tape but it pulled that away too. So it does function, and I like the light on the cable to show that it’s plugged in, receiving power and where the end is in the dark, but unfortunately, the quality seems cheap and I don’t anticipate this cord lasting very long.

Not 130w
I tried it on a few different devices that I can measure what they are able to pull. Best I got was 85 watts. I also have a 140 w GAN charger that I plugged in to make sure I was getting solid measurements. So unfortunately I have to rate this low due to misleading information. The light on the usb c is always on also. Instead of being on only when charging like most laptop chargers. I’m giving 2 stars instead of one because it’s still a reasonable value for an 85w charger.

Extreme overheating

Works for Dell Precision 3570
My wife recently took a new job and was given a Dell Precision 3570 as her work laptop, and I ordered this charger so she’d have one that she can leave it at the office. While I can’t recommend a Dell laptop (buy a Lenovo ThinkPad if you’re getting a Windows PC), I can confirm that this charger works really well.I was a little worried when I ordered, as the 3570 isn’t listed everywhere on the product page as being supported, but I took a chance and can confirm that it works.I have no way to measure how many watts it’s actually charging, but I can confirm that it seems to charge as well as the OEM charger. Quality seems like it’s not quite as good as the OEM charger, but it seems good enough. As others have commented, the light on the end of the cord (where it connects to the laptop port) does stay on constantly when plugged into an outlet.At about half the price of the OEM replacement, this is a good buy, especially if it’s not going to be moved around a lot.

Functional charger, reports as 130W and does its job
This is a simple replacement charger for Dell XPS and other ultrabooks/laptops. Except for the lack of Dell name on the label, it looks pretty much like an original one.It reports as 130W (the proprietary rate for Dell chargers) in the BIOS, and I was seeing well over 100W in charge on my XPS 15 9570. Non-proprietary chargers are limited to 60 or 65 watts on this machine regardless of the charger’s power rating.No complaints, it does what it should.

Works to power my Precision 5550 and other Precisions I tested it with
I work in IT. As part of my job I get to ‘test’ (and figure out how to make things work on) new hardware. We’re getting the newest generation of Precision from Dell to test and I wanted to have a spare charger to be able to see how well they work when not in the office. So far as I can tell this charger works just the same as the included Dell chargers, and it also worked fine on my older (now) Precision 5550. There are a lot of USB-c chargers out there, but not many USB-C chargers that will supply 130 watts like this one does, which is pretty much the standard size needed by the more powerful Precision laptops from Dell. If you need a powerful spare charger to throw in your bag or to supplement your dock (most docks do not supply anywhere near 130 watts) then this is a good choice and I would recommend it.

The laptop’s original factory power supply made it just over a year before burning up. This new unit provides twice the power and does not run nearly as hot. Like it so much I purchased another for my wife as a spare.

This cord works perfect- great length, i appreciate being able to reorder at a good price as needed for my kids school issued laptops without fear of them burning the plugs. Which was warned about when we signed the agreement they had to use specific chargers. Ugh.

Pretty Much you get what you pay for!!!! I should’ve known something was up when they had an Overstock sale I’ve never seen Amazon with Overstock sale item usually when something’s popular they can’t keep up with it not have too much that should have been the first heads up but the price was right and I got it for $21 pretty much the speed is slow but it works so don’t expect nothing fast especially for it being 130w. Very disappointed!!! If I had another charger I would actually send this back!!!!

This was one of my best peuchases in a long time. For some reason my OEM HP Laptop Charger just stopped working! I originally thought it was my laptop and I was not looking forward to replacing it. Fortunately, one of my Sisters has the same laptop so I tried her cord on my laptop and it worked…Whew!! So I searched online for a new cord which I quickly found out were over $85! So you know I went directly to Ebay & Amazon. LolAmazon had the better price including shipping, so here we are. I could not be more pleased. Great seller, great price & great quality!

This is NOT the original OEM power adapter from what I can tell. The logo is missing and the weight is lighter than my original one. I believe this is a knockoff. It failed after 2 weeks of use so I returned it.

Damaged my battery
My OEM charger failed suddenly so I read some reviews and picked this one. Has the same charge rate as the one from Dell. After using it for a month I noticed my battery was lasting even less than before. After I did a battery health check I found that right after I started using this charger my total useable capacity started going down almost every time it got plugged in. Ended up having to get a different battery and now I need a new charger so it doesn’t mess up the new one.
